Over the past year Black Bear Herbs has run Workshops and held Garden Events as fundraisers for the Cumberland Community Forest Society, Perseverance Creek Streamkeepers Society, and Cumberland Community Schools Society.

We'd like to hear from you about who you'd like us to support next!

 

Here's what you need to do to enter: 

Go to our Facebook page and find the contest post,

1) tag your favourite Vancouver Island based Organization or Fundraising Initiative, 

2) let us know which of any of the 2 hour workshops on our website you'd like to see run as a fundraiser, and

3) tag a friend who you would want to go with you to the fundraising workshop!

The winner will be picked at random on January 28th, 2017.

 

CONTEST RULES:

​

The Organization/Fundraising Initiative must be based on Vancouver Island.

​

The fundraising workshop will run at Black Bear Herbs in Cumberland.

​

The fundraising workshop can be chosen from any of the one or two hour workshops on the website.  (Does not include Medicine Making or Herbal First Aid which are four hour workshops.)

​

The date and time of the workshop will be scheduled by Black Bear Herbs, but will be scheduled for a date before September 2017.

​

Participants in the fundraising workshop need to pre-register with Black Bear Herbs.  

​

A minimum number of participants have to be registered for the workshop to run - if a minimum is not reached unfortunately the fundraiser cannot run.

​

The winning Organization/Fundraising Initiative will be contacted and asked if they would like to participate and be a recipient of fundraising money from the Black Bear Herbs workshop. If they decline another organization/fundraising initiative will be picked at random.

​

Black Bear Herbs will donate 100% of proceeds from the workshop "Intro to Herbs".  Or, we will donate 50% of proceeds from any of our other eligible workshops.

​

The winning Organization/Fundraising Initiative will be picked at random from the contest entries on January 28th, 2017.
