The Magic of Herbs

Medicine Making, Wild Medicinals, Growing and Harvesting

Weekend Workshop

This is a fun and hands-on weekend, packed with practical, useful information that will enable and empower you to use herbs in your everyday life.

The weekend will be spent in the herb garden and out through the garden gate into the forest to learn about the healing plants that are growing in profusion all around us.  You will learn how to identify the plants and how to grow and harvest them ethically and sustainably.  The weekend will be packed with useful Herbal First Aid for common ailments and how to create beautiful healing remedies in the kitchen for you and your family.

Medicinal plants offer us powerful healing, and in learning about them our connection and appreciation of the natural world is deepened.  Away from the hustle and bustle of our lives we gain a deeper understanding of these healing plants and our relationship with them.  This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your appreciation of medicinal plants and the power they have to heal and support us.

Come and learn about these healing plants from the perspective of a practicing Herbalist who brings 30 years of experience as a Herbalist and teacher.

Amanda has an MSc in Herbal Medicine, and she has a passion for the magic and healing of medicinal plants, and a love for growing and gardening:) The workshop takes place at Black Bear Herb School and Herb Garden in the historic and legendary Village of Cumberland situated on the edge of the rainforest on Vancouver Island.
